These birds rocked my socks the first time I laid eyes on them...They have a truly dominant presence. The rooster carries his tail like he knows your looking at it and pouts his chest... Surprisingly a very quiet breed, Spanish are great for beginners looking for something away from the min stream. My line is also very reliable for eggs never missing a day from September well into the following winter.
A feature of the bred is the large single face patch.... many lines of this breed have developed a separations in the face patch becoming a lobe ..just like in the Minorca... a bad fault so be careful your not getting cross bred Minorca's when your shopping for your Spanish.
